Unless you want to reach out and hug your phone system cloud phone systems are not necessarily a bad thing. We’re just tired of people bashing on them without any real information, so we’ve decided to set the record straight.

When you factor in PBX maintenance costs the cloud is not expensive at all over a 5 to 10-year span. In fact, if you choose a quality phone system from the onset, it will probably save you money in the long run.

If my old phone system works OK, why should I upgrade to a cloud phone system?

Sure, your old phone system may be running fine right now. But in 2 years when you need support, it will be difficult to find someone who knows the PBX inside and out. Cloud phone systems are usually very simple in design so even non-technical people can get them up and running.

If I’m not running my business from my phone, do I need a cloud phone system?

Well, if all you’re using your phone for is to make and receive calls then you don’t. But if you want to use the same device for conference calling or voicemail broadcasting, cloud systems are definitely your best bet. Is it really that hard to use a cell phone as my main business line?

I’m sure there are those out there who have a landline and a cell phone, but for many of us, we don’t want to keep track of two phones. Plus, cloud systems allow you to have unlimited extensions so it’s much more convenient not to have to carry around 2 or 3 phones.

It seems like I already have a lot of choices when it comes to phone systems. Why should I use a cloud?

Choosing your phone system is about more than just picking the best brand on the market. Some cheaper PBXs are actually harder to use than others, but they tend to look better on paper. Your choice of PBX is also based on factors such as future growth and geographic location. When you choose a cloud system, it’s like getting the best of both worlds — your phone system is flexible and affordable all at the same time.

Here we debunk some of the most common misconceptions and tell you what it is really like to use one:

MYTH: They don’t work well with cell phones People always say that they need a dedicated phone system for their office, but if you have a cell phone then it can work just as well with cloud phone systems. You can use the service on your computer or directly over the internet. Just download the app and you are ready to go!

MYTH: They are too complicated for most people to use Actually; they are quite the opposite. The cloud phone systems we offer come with a simple control panel that is easy to figure out! We allow you access to your account 24/7 so if there is something going wrong, or you have a question you can get in touch with us easier than ever before.

MYTH: You have limited options Not at all. In addition to the standard call forwarding and extensions you’ll be able to get a toll-free line, enhanced call routing capabilities, improved mobility for your business, and much more!

MYTH: They are only good for smaller businesses. Cloud phone systems work perfectly well with larger companies too! The size of a business should not impact what system they use. Regardless of how small or large, you are cloud phone systems are an efficient way to connect with your customers no matter where you are.

MYTH: They are expensive Who told you that? Did someone try to sell you one or something? We highly doubt it! You can set up a service plan for as little as $19.99 per month, which is less than most traditional phone systems — not to mention the cost of buying one!

MYTH: They are low quality Who would say that!? We only offer the best products on the market and our cloud phone systems are no different. You can expect great sound quality with low latency, so the people on the other end of the line will hardly realize you are using an internet connection instead of a traditional phone line!
